Medford-Alba Student Exchange Auction
May 21st, 2023 at 5:00pm

In August 2023, twelve exceptional students, representing both North and South Medford High School, will depart on a 14-day academic/cultural exchange to our Sister City -- Alba, Italy.

The student exchange began in 1985 and has become the basis for an ever-widening circle of friends in both cities. This year’s twelve Student Exchange Ambassadors are continuing a tradition of exchanges that now spans generations. While visiting Alba, our students will stay with Italian host families and will partner with the "Istituto Einaudi" High School. This is a great opportunity to learn about our friends in other countries and to represent our community as ambassadors of goodwill. In a world where peace and understanding are in great peril, the 2023 exchange is of even greater importance.
The trip will cost each student approximately $3,900. To offset the cost, our Auction will be held at Centennial Golf Course, May 21st at 5:00pm.

Please join us for this worthwhile cause. The Medford-Alba Student Exchange Auction will feature delicious Italian dinner, silent, live and dessert auction.

We look forward to sharing this fun-filled event with friends, family and our Rogue Valley community. This trip is made possible, with your
valued support
and
generosity.

GRAZIE!

Our History

Medford, Oregon and Alba, Italy have been Sister Cities since 1960. President Eisenhower’s “People to People” program was created to promote international goodwill and to counteract the anti-goodwill and anti-American sentiment that was growing throughout the world in the late 1950’s.

Medford’s choice of international partners was based upon the similarities of our two cities, not on opportunities for commerce. This unique relationship has been built upon close personal friendships and continues to thrive after six decades of global turmoil. It is truly a program that unites people.
